So, day two of having a WordPress blogging site, and I managed to get a registration and login system I’m happy with. It took several attempts using various plugins to get a system that works without too much hassle, but I believe I am comfortable with the way it is now. The next step will be requiring email verification, but for now that isn’t required.

I have to say that the more I use it, the more I can see just how much can be added using plugins. I do have some frustration with customizing everything, though. If something is wrong or I don’t like something on my main site, I just open the files on my computer, edit what I don’t like (sometimes after intensive googling), and upload the changed files back to the server. Not quite so with WordPress.

Using WordPress, I do know that there are files that can be edited, but it’s a little more daunting. Of course, I am still very much new to all this. It is only day two, after all, and I have yet to begin learning php which is what WordPress appears to use.

Anyway, that’s about all I got for now. So, go get back to the rest of your day!
